Allied Resources is looking for MULTIPLE System Operators to join a critical operations team responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the electric transmission system. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while gaining valuable experience in system operations and compliance. Looking for degreed engineers, but no prior experience is necessary to apply!
Day to day
- Operate the transmission system to maintain reliability under single contingency criteria, ensuring system stability during line, transformer, or bus faults.
- Analyze and schedule transmission system maintenance outages, balancing system reliability and operational needs.
- Direct the application of safety protocols, including permit and tag procedures, ensuring secure operation of bulk electric systems.
- Use advanced tools to monitor transmission system health, recognize abnormalities, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead system restoration following partial or total power system collapses, coordinating generation resources and transmission facilities for rapid recovery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) or 1–3 years of relevant technical/engineering experience.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
